For those who do not know what an Au Pair is, it is a role much like a nanny but usually you live with the family and they pay for your travel and living expenses plus a small stipend in exchange for (in my case) teaching their children English. My friends like to refer to me as a professional babysitter. But when I'm fresh out of college with no desire for an office job, babysitting in Italy seems like a great idea.
Especially when you're within 5 miles of a private beach club.
Here's my current situation: 9 year old boy, 7 year old girl, live with the family, 80 euros a week, family pays for everything
Living situation: My own bedroom in a second floor apartment, kids share a room, parents room, two bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Also a balcony
My schedule: Varies from day to day, usually a few hours each day with one free day a week. My duties include English lessons, entertaining kids and helping cook and clean
Daily activities: Beach, beach and more beach. Except when it's cloudy then we have picnics on my room and play go fish or watch Zoey 101
