In honor of my return for only one day, sigh, I put together a MUST SEE list of my favorite things in Rome
Fontana di Trevi
Piazza di Spagna
My favorite place to go and sit. There are 138 different step to choose from. I reccommend visiting the Spanish Steps to sit and relax for a little while after walking around the city for a while. It's an especially good place for people watching (my favorite activity). It's right near the high end shops so you see a mixture of funny looking tourists and elegant, wealthy clientele.
Via del Corso
Via del Corso is a long stip of shops just down the street from the Spanish Steps. My favorite place to visit when I'm looking to do some shopping. Other than the Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabana stores, there is a Zara, Promod, Brand Melville and Bershka where I like to shop :) If you walk down Via del Corso from the Spanish steps, you end at the Vittorio Emmanuele monument. The big, ugly, white house looking building. And just beyond that, you can see the Colosseum.
Campo de' Fiori
Piazza Navona is my favorite place to go if you have some money to spend and you want to sit down for a nice, long lunch. Yes, the restaurants are touristy and it's not the best food, but you're paying for the experience. Nothing better than sitting outiside drinking wine and eating pizza in the sunshine, watching people go by and listening to musicians around the fountian. Always relaxing and entertaining.
Città di Vaticano
One of the most beautiful places in the city. I reccommed a walk through the gardens, ending as the sunsets at the overlook of Piazza del Popolo.
