Il Duomo in Piazza Garibaldi
Our latest trip was to the historical town of Massa Marittima in the Grosseto province. Enclosed within a city wall, it is one of the most important urban and architectural cities in Tuscany. Narrow streets climb up and down the city, leading from the Il Duomo in the city center to Il Convento di Monte Pozzali on top of the mountian.

We took a nice walk up the mountian to the high town. Once we reached a certain point, we went off the paved road and decided to adventure through the woods the rest of the way up. I had to carry Laura on my back for the last half of the journey, but it was so worth it. We ended up finding blackberry bushes and apple trees so we stopped for a little snack. And when we finally made it to a clearing: the most spectacular view. To one side, you could see the entire city and rolling Tuscan hills. And the other side was nothing but mountians covered by forest. Although it started raining and we had to end our day early, it was nothing short of perfect.
